11th - 12th Apr	NBD was the Gold Sponsor of the ‘Global Real Estate: A World of Opportunities’ conference which was hosted by Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) held at JW Marriott Dubai. The aim was to showcase the wide diversity of real estate investment options available to Middle Eastern investors outside of the Mid-East and to expose the dynamic Middle Eastern markets to the US and European investors and advisors.
11th - 12th Mar	Dubai School of Government hosted a forum on enhancing E-Governance and Administrative Simplification, aiming at developing public services and public administrative procedures. NBD sponsored the OECD Forum which was held at Dubai School of Government, Convention Tower (DWTC).
10th - 11th Feb	The‘ International Banking and Finance in the Gulf Area’ conference was jointly organised by the International Union of Lawyers (UIA) & Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) at DCCI. NBD was one of the sponsors of the conference.
30th Jan	The Financial Times, a world leading business newspaper has organized the ‘FT China-Middle East Summit’ at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). NBD is one of the lead sponsors of the summit. The main aim is to create a platform to promote public and private sector projects in the Middle East and China while providing significant intelligence-gathering and networking opportunities for international investors, financial institutions, manufacturers and trading companies, among others.

10th - 12th Dec	NBD participated in Securities Markets & Bourses Conference organized by UAE University College of Sharia & Law.
4th - 6th Dec	NBD is one of the sponsors of ‘The Arab Strategy Forum 2006’ held at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The main aim of the forum is to gather the most influential leaders from business, government and civil society from the Arab world and the rest of the world around the theme "Creating Opportunity from Change".
4th - 6th Dec	NBD actively participated in the ‘Cityscape Dubai 2006’ conference held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. It is the international property investment and development event attracting the world’s most significant investors, lenders, owners and developers to discuss issues pertinent to property professionals today.
25th - 26th Apr	STEP Arabia Conference was held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The Private Office was one of the sponsors of the event.
23rd - 26th Apr	NBD co-sponsored the ‘4th Best Police Practices Forum’ which was organized by Dubai Police . The aim of the Forum was to create awareness by using Police technologies in order to achieve excellence in Performance.
2nd Apr	NBD participated in the 'Fourth Business Roundtable Conference with the Government of Egypt' at the Intercontinental Citystars Hotel in Cairo. The theme of the Conference is 'All change for business in Egypt - taking reforms to the next level'.
18th Mar	NBD was one of the sponsors of a new book entitled 'Rashid's Legacy' which was launched at Sheikh Saeed's House in Shindagha under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry. The event was attended by top dignitaries, government officials, leaders of the business community and senior diplomats. 'Rashid's Legacy' is the genesis of the Maktoum Family and the History of Dubai.
7th - 9th Mar	NBD actively participated in the Dubai International Rehabilitation Forum - REHAB 2006 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre hosted by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est.
7th Mar	The MOH, Ajman Medical District in association with AKMG Ajman and UAQ conducted a one day CME Programme at Ajman Kempinski Hotel. NBD's Suhail Premier Banking were the co-sponsors of the event.
6th - 7th Mar	Dubai School of Government hosted a forum on enhancing E-Governance and Administrative Simplification, aiming at developing public services and public administrative procedures. 1st Feb - 30th April	NBD is one of the Gold Sponsors for the 'Small & Medium Enterprises Diploma Program' to be held at the Dubai Dusit Hotel. The program will be a support to a vital and promising sector of vibrant UAE nationals, small and medium enterprise owners. It is an opportunity for those who would like to know more about how to start their own business.

19th Dec	NBD hosted the launch of 'Telling Tales'. An Oral History of Dubai Book for its Author Julia Wheeler, and the photographer, Paul Thusbaert during a press conference held on the 16th floor of the Head Office. Telling Tales is an English language art coffee table book which includes the history, adventures and the affairs of those who have contibiuted to the development of Dubai. The book also includes the story and the reflections, of Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Chairman of NBD.
02th - 04 Dec	As part of its on going commitment towards incorporating more Arab Youth in the workforce, NBD sponsored the Young Arab Leaders Forum 2005 Annual Meeting. Young Arab Leaders has grown tremendously in different sectors across the region, motivating a predominantly young population to work towards a new and brighter future for the Arab World.
22nd Nov	Under the Patronage of H.E Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Education, Chancellor, Higher Colleges of Technology, the 3rd Financial Services and Banking Conference was held at the Dubai Men's College and NBD was one of the sponsors of this event.
17th - 18th May	STEP Arabia Conference was held at the Shangri-La Hotel. The Private Office was one of the sponsors of the event.
21st Mar	NBD was one of the sponsors of the first Regional Forum on Reinventing Government in the Arab World. The forum welcomed delegates from across the Arab World to the Dubai conference hosted by the Dubai School of Government. It was also organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UNDP Programme on Governance in the Arab Region.

25th May	NBD was one of the sponsors of 'The First Middle East Kaizen Conference' held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. The theme of the conference was 'Operational Excellence through Continuous Improvement'
24th May	Fujairah Free Zone hosted a Bankers day with NBD as one of the sponsors. This seminar covered many important aspects of Banking like Treasury, Trade Finance, Islamic Banking, Internet Banking, Offshore Banking, UAE Banking Trends etc. It was attended by a number of bankers including the Central Bank of UAE.
15th - 18th May	NBD was one of the sponsors of the 'Dubai Sister Cities Forum 2004' organised by Dubai Municipality, aiming at developing and establishing friendship with many cities in the world.
4th - 5th May	NBD was one of the sponsors for the 4th GCC Conference held in Abu Dhabi. The conference was organised by 'The Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies. It highlighted the importance & the ways and means of attracting foreign capitals to the Gulf area vis-a-vis the Global Economy.
2nd May	NBD sponsored the 'Sheikh Khalifa Industry Award 2003' held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Its objective was to improve the development of the industrial sector of Abu Dhabi by promoting the use of the principles of Total Quality.
25th - 27th Apr	Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, Dubai hosted the 10th conference of Organisation of Islamic Capitals and Cities (OICC) at the Dubai International Convention Centre. NBD was one of the sponsors of the event.
14th - 16th Mar	NBD was one of the sponsors for the 'First International Conference and Exhibition for Architectural Conservation: Between Theory and Practice,' organised by Dubai Municipality at the Dubai International Conferences and Exhibition Centre.
21st - 24th Feb	NBD sponsored for the Zayed In'tl Prize for Environment at the Dubai International Convention Centre
9th Feb	Seminar held by the NBD's Private Office to Advise Investors on the UK Tax Law Developments
12th - 4th Jan	NBD sponsored the 'e-biz conference' at Zayed University. It was held to enable students to leverage their education into entrepreniual business.
