Quality and Control Department has successfully obtained the ISO 9001:2000 Certification for all its Divisions, including Central Accounts Processing and Reconciliation.

For the ninth time, National Bank of Dubai received the Quality Recognition Award from JPMorgan Chase Bank in recognition of its high level of accuracy in funds transfers.

For the fourth consecutive year, National Bank of Dubai has been recognised the Best Bank in the UAE by Global Finance magazine, the leading monthly financial magazine.

Based on key criteria such as market share, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development and product innovation.

Recognized as the bank with a performance that is second-to-none, National Bank of Dubai was recently presented a 2006 Superbrands award at a tribute event held at the Sphinx, Wafi City.

Having met the stringent criteria for brand excellence, National Bank of Dubai was selected as one of this year’s top institutions. Competing with top brands throughout the UAE, NBD was selected due to its high standards of branding, product innovation, brand values and major achievements.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance & Industry, presented the Dubai Quality Award (DQA) in the finance sector to National Bank of Dubai.

The Dubai Quality Award is a process initiated by the Government of Dubai for recognizing role model organisations that achieve excellence through adoption of good practices and soundly-based approaches.

The Private Office, National Bank of Dubai’s private banking service, has been named the Best Private Bank in the UAE by Euromoney magazine, the leading monthly magazine of international banking and capital markets.

National Bank of Dubai has been named the
Best Foreign Exchange Bank 2006 in the UAE by Global Finance Magazine.

NBD is the leading participant in the dirham money market and is active in the foreign exchange markets. It offers spot and forward currency contracts, as well as currency swaps and options. The Bank is highly rated as a result of its close relation with the UAE government.

Year 2005

Certificate of Appreciation has been awarded to NBD 'In Recognition For Their Cooperation with Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA)' during the month of December 2005.

On 17 December 2005, NBD won the Best Banking and Finance Brand - GCC National Brands Excellence Award presented by MiddleEast Excellence Award Institute.

The Award has been granted to NBD based on qualities such as management, revenue, profitability, commitment to social responsibility and nationalization, speed of service and creativity.

NBD has been awarded international credit ratings of 'A1' by Moody's and 'A' by Standard and Poor's.In their analysis on the Bank, Moody's drew attention to the Bank's credit strengths wheras Standard & Poor's rated the bank's strong capitalisation, low risk profile and superior asset quality and liquidity.
